Race-sm; a Skin Competition is a critical reflection on the endless contest of cultural and racial dominance—an unending race with no finish line. This work examines how racial identity and ideology shape perceptions of superiority, often linking physical traits to assumptions about intellect, morality, and worth. Beneath skin, hair, and eye color lies a shared human consciousness, yet society continues to impose hierarchies that divide. While overt racism may be publicly condemned, it now takes subtler forms—systemic exclusions, microaggressions, and quiet denials of access. For those labeled as “low-status,” the effects are lasting: diminished self-worth, fractured social ties, and limited opportunities. This work confronts these realities, urging a dismantling of the structures that perpetuate racial inequality and challenging us to move beyond appearance toward shared humanity..
