In Kilometers, I explore both the physical and emotional distances that come with being away from home—the miles we’ve traveled, and the internal journeys we continue to navigate in search of belonging. This work speaks to the constant deliberation of when, or if, to return. It grapples with the quiet tug-of-war between the familiarity of home and the reality of transformation. Conflicting footsteps intersect throughout the piece, serving as metaphors for confusion, displacement, and the layered paths we trace between past and present selves. I invite you to reflect on the complexities of balancing two lands, two identities, and the shifting terrain of what it means to belong.
