Foreign Coun·tries examines the struggle of assimilation and the search for a place to call home away from home. It explores the emotional conflict of adapting to new environments while holding onto one’s heritage. Many of us have faced the challenge of carving out a space of authenticity when surrounded by unfamiliar cultural expectations. This work asks, what does it mean to belong when the world feels fragmented? How do we navigate the complex relationship between self and society?
