As You See Me So, This Is What I Carry delves into the unseen weight of migration—both physical and emotional. The work unpacks the “luggage” migrants bear: cultural memory, loss, identity, and the remnants of what’s left behind. Through layered forms and symbolic materials, it speaks to the burden of representation and the quiet labor of holding multiple selves. Evoking the movement of people as shifting cargo, the piece questions the idea of arrival, suggesting that for many, the journey is ongoing and without finality.
