Ankonam (Self Love) is a reflective series that centers the quiet power of self-acceptance, healing, and inner affirmation. Drawing from the Akan word Ankonam, meaning “alone” or “lonely one,” the work reclaims solitude not as isolation, but as a sacred space for self-discovery and emotional restoration. This series explores what it means to nurture the self amidst external noise, cultural expectations, and the demands of reinvention. It is a visual meditation on the beauty of turning inward—of honoring one’s own presence, embracing vulnerability, and finding wholeness within.
